Winter Release

Each winter since 2021, Cailleach has given us the freedom to explore, to follow curiosity, embrace creativity, and push the boundaries of what our whisky can be. These releases are fleeting by nature, shaped by season and imagination, and never repeated.

Our Cailleach Smoked Botrytis Single Malt Whisky pairs the luscious, honeyed influence of botrytis casks with a gentle thread of peat smoke. The result is a whisky that balances sweetness, earth in harmony.

Nose:
Elegant and layered, with aromas of smoked orchard fruits, honeyed apricot, and candied citrus. Subtle peat smoke weaves through notes of toasted oak and soft spice.

Palate:
Silky and complex. Sweetness leads with flavours of honey and green tea before giving way to gentle smoke, earthy undertones, and hints of vanilla and spice.

Finish:
Long and evolving. Lingering smoke and a delicate wine-driven sweetness slowly fade, leaving a soft, savoury dryness.

A limited winter release - once gone, it will not be repeated.

Bottled in a 100% recycled glass bottle with compostable closure and zero plastics.
